Our mission is to celebrate and promote the remarkable coffee diversity and flavor profiles that Kenya has to offer. We work closely with local farmers and cooperatives, ensuring that each bean we source is meticulously grown, harvested, and processed to meet our stringent quality standards. From the lush slopes of Mount Kenya to the sun-drenched plains of Nyeri and Kirinyaga, every cup of Kenya Coffees embodies the dedication and expertise of those who cultivate it.
Coffee Classification & Standards
Our coffee beans are rigorously graded and classified based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including size, shape, density, moisture content, and defect levels. This meticulous process ensures that each bean is carefully assessed and sorted into distinct grades, reflecting its inherent quality and potential. The grading system in Kenya typically includes categories such as AA, AB, PB, C, and E, each representing a specific grade of coffee beans. The AA grade, characterized by its large size and uniformity, often commands the highest prices due to its exceptional quality and flavor profile. In contrast, the E grade signifies beans of good quality, suitable for various specialty coffee markets. Beyond the traditional grading system, Kenya also employs innovative classification methods such as the Triplet Triage (TT) system. This approach further refines the grading process, allowing for even greater precision in assessing coffee quality and consistency. At Kenya Coffee Classification, we take pride in our role as custodians of Kenya's coffee heritage. Through our dedication to excellence and adherence to strict quality standards, we aim to showcase the unparalleled diversity and flavor complexity that define Kenyan coffee.
