Coffee Classification & Standards

Our coffee beans are rigorously graded and classified based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including size, shape, density, moisture content, and defect levels. This meticulous process ensures that each bean is carefully assessed and sorted into distinct grades, reflecting its inherent quality and potential. The grading system in Kenya typically includes categories such as AA, AB, PB, C, and E, each representing a specific grade of coffee beans. The AA grade, characterized by its large size and uniformity, often commands the highest prices due to its exceptional quality and flavor profile. In contrast, the E grade signifies beans of good quality, suitable for various specialty coffee markets. Beyond the traditional grading system, Kenya also employs innovative classification methods such as the Triplet Triage (TT) system.
